LAKE RUATANIWHA HOLIDAY PARK, Twizel

Lake Ruataniwha Holiday Park provides a choice of accommodations: motel studios, lodges, tourist cabins, standard cabins, powered sites, and non-powered tent sites. Motel studios include a kitchenette, TVs, spa baths, and super king-size beds. Some units have a kitchenette with a microwave, toaster, and fridge. Lodges feature a bathroom complex and kitchen facilities. A 3-bedroom family unit sleeps up to 10 with a king-size bed, two single beds, and a set of single bunks. A 2-bedroom family unit sleeps 4 with a king-size bed and two single beds. The Ruataniwha Lodge sleeps up to 16 and includes a bathroom complex and kitchen. Standard cabins include sheeted beds and pillows, sleeping 1-5 persons. LV cabins and cube cabins have made-up beds. Mobile homes provide shared bathroom facilities, a barbecue, a private entrance, and a seating area. Room amenities include a microwave, hotplates, a refrigerator, and a TV. Some rooms have a shower or spa bath. A family room features a seating area with a flat-screen TV, a desk, and a shared bathroom, accommodating 4 beds. Holiday homes include a living room, separate bedrooms, a bathroom, and a kitchen with a stovetop, refrigerator, kitchenware, and oven. Lake views are offered from motel units.

Many Twizel cafés are open for breakfast and sometimes serve full hot breakfasts, lunch, and dinner. Bistro restaurants often serve alcohol and coffee. Twizel restaurants are generally small, serving moderately priced simple meals. The holiday park has a fully stocked camp shop on site.
